Security Tips for Hang Seng Card

1．Upon receipt of the Hang Seng Card, check and confirm the information on card then sign your name on the signature panel on the back of the card.

2．Check to see if the PIN mailer is intact.

3．Upon receipt of your Hang Seng Card, change your PIN at any of Hang Seng (China) ATM. Please avoid using repetitive numbers, personal ID card number, date of birth, telephone numbers, or any other personal information that can be easily accessed by others as your PIN. Change your PIN regularly.

4．Please remember your PIN firmly. To avoid unnecessary dispute and loss, do not lend your Hang Seng Card and PIN to others for their usage in any circumstances. Please avoid keeping the Hang Seng Card, bankbook, personal ID card and PIN together.

5． Before entering a self-serviced banking center with a security door and start using an ATM, please check if there is any suspicious accessories, such as strange attachment at the card insertion slot, suspicious notice posted, micro camera etc.

6． If the ATM does not dispense banknotes or your Hang Seng Card is captured, please do not leave immediately. Pay attention to the instruction on the screen. Do not ask for assistance from strangers. You can seek help from any of our branches/sub-branches or through Hang Seng Bank (China) 24-hours Prestige Hotline. Our staff will answer your questions promptly. Please do not trust and dial any telephone number on any suspicious notice posted at the ATM. Never reveal your PIN to anyone.

7． When using POS for purchase payment, pay attention to the operation of the cashier. Try to keep your card on sight. If it is required to have your Hang Seng Card swept and/or key in the PIN again, please make sure that the previous transaction is not successful and no duplication. Before signing the sales slip, make sure the card number and amount is correct. Please keep the receipt in case of need. Never sign any blank sales slip without specific value or unfilled.

8．Please apply to close PINLess function if you don’t need such function.

9．Please safe keep the transaction receipts of your Hang Seng Card and reconcile your account regularly. Should there be any discrepancy, please contact us immediately.
