Q : What is Hang Seng Personal e-Banking?

Hang Seng Personal e-Banking is an online banking service launched by Hang Seng Bank. With Hang Seng Personal e-Banking, you can make balance enquiries, check your account transaction history, perform account transfers, remittance and time deposit transactions, view e-Statement / e-Advice and access online customer services. We are pleased to present you a new-look Hang Seng Personal e-Banking. Our more comprehensive service features and enhanced security functions provide you with a more secure Internet financial environment. The Bank has also recently introduced "Security Device" technology to provide a more secure environment for customers to process their transactions.

A :

The change should enhance the Internet banking experience for our customers by providing a more user-friendly and secure service.

   
Q : What changes have you made to Hang Seng Personal e-Banking?
A :

The key changes are a completely new design; new service functions; and advanced Internet banking protection provided by the "Security Device".

   
Q : I would prefer to use the old layout, is this possible?
A :

No, all customers will be using the new design. The changes made are intended to enhance the customer experience but we understand customers may take time to familiarise themselves with the new look.

A :

The following services are currently available:

  - Transfers within Hang Seng Bank (China) Account, to Pre-registered Third-party Hang Seng Bank (China) Account and to Accounts maintained with other banks in Mainland China.
  - Overseas Remittance
  - To My HK Hang Seng RMB Account
  - Time Deposits
  - Rates Enquiry
  - e-Statement and e-Advice
  - Customer Services
More e-Banking services will be introduced in the near future.

   
Q : Are the services available 24 hours?
A : Yes, the services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, some transactions made outside working (or specific) hours will be processed on the next working day. Please refer to the Transfers and Time Deposits section for details.
   
Q : Who is eligible to register for Hang Seng Personal e-Banking?
A : If you have a personal account with our branches/sub-branches, you are eligible to register for this service. However, the service is NOT available for account holders of joint accounts with to jointly sign signing instructions.
   
Q : What types of accounts can I access through the Hang Seng Personal e-Banking?
A : Self-named Hang Seng Bank (China) Accounts that you have selected during online registration, and Third-Party Hang Seng Bank (China) Accounts, Accounts maintained with other banks in Mainland China and Overseas Bank Accounts that you have pre-registered with our branches/sub-branches will be accessible through the service. You can use the online service to deselect your self-named Hang Seng Bank (China) Accounts that you do not want to online access to.
   
Q : Do I have to pay for Hang Seng Personal e-Banking?
A : No, it is FREE. However, transactions such as Overseas Remittance, Transfer to Other Banks in China, and Order Cheque Book are subject to normal handling fees.
   
Q : Can I access Hang Seng Personal e-Banking from overseas?
A : Yes, provided that you have access to the Internet with the recommended browser, you will be able to access our e-Banking services from anywhere in the world.
