Founded in 1984, Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited("Hang Seng Indexes"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank, manages and compiles the Hang Seng Family of Indexes. The Hang Seng Family of Indexes comprises a wide range of Flagship, Benchmark, Thematic and Strategy indexes that cover stocks listed in Hong Kong and mainland China markets. First published in 1969, the Hang Seng Index has become the key barometer of the Hong Kong stock market.
